About Mark Wicks
I was raised in Northern Montana on our family farm 30 miles north of Inverness on the Canadian border. The youngest of 10 children. I graduated from Blue Sky High and attended MSU on a history scholarship. I changed majors and went into technology education. Along the way I joined the Army Reserve, and ROTC. I also picked up an associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology. I took the opportunity to study abroad and spent a semester in Sweden.
After college I returned to the family farm and married my wife Beth, we have four children ranging in age from 6-20. Along the way I have worked in many different fields I delivered propane and had until recently possessed a hazardous materials endorsement, I worked in the Bakken as both an oilfield worker and roughneck, I drove BNSF employees between Glasgow and Whitefish. I owned and operated an auto parts store. Opened two successful Christmas gift stores, created a website and sold sporting goods on the internet. All told I have a great deal of diverse work experience.
My wife and I have farmed, ranched and developed our produce route. I decided last year that I needed to stop complaining about government and do something positive. I ran for congress as a Libertarian and had one of the most successful runs in Libertarian history. I refuse to give up and am running as a Republican for PSC 1, I think my diverse education and experience makes me the best choice for PSC!
